As a large integrated transit hub connecting light rail, buses and parking lots in Macau, Barra Transport Hub receives heavy passenger flow every day, with the central skylight serving as the landmark visual feature of the station. The fire rated skylight of the project fully adopts Fpos 21mm crystal silicon fire-resistant glass, which can provide 120-minute fire and thermal radiation resistance as well as 30-minute fire and heat insulation performance, meeting high fire safety standards for large public transport buildings. In case of fire, the glass interlayer foams rapidly and absorbs heat to form a dense fireproof barrier, effectively stopping the spread of flames and smoke and ensuring smooth evacuation for crowds.

The glass boasts excellent UV resistance, free of yellowing or fogging after long-term use, maintaining high light transmittance to ease the dull atmosphere of large transit premises. With a minimalist and elegant outlook, the skylight satisfies rigid fire safety requirements while creating a bright and open modern transit space, balancing reliable protection and the aesthetic of public architecture.
