King Mongkut Chaokhunthahan Hospital is an integrated medical and research complex developed by Rajamangala University of Technology Thaipradit in Ratchaburi Province, Thailand. Located in the core area of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), the building features a boundary-free modern design with extensive floor-to-ceiling glass panels combined with curved eaves, creating a spacious and serene therapeutic environment. Fire-resistant partitions and patient access corridors throughout the facility utilize EW120 fire rated doors made from 15 mm Fpos crystal silicon fire-resistant glass, which offer 120 minutes of fire integrity resistance and thermal radiation barrier performance.
During fire exposure, the interlayer rapidly foams to absorb heat, effectively blocking smoke and residual heat, thereby ensuring comprehensive safety for patient and staff evacuation. The glass maintains high transparency under normal conditions without yellowing or fogging, perfectly complementing the hospital's minimalist and contemporary architectural facade. It balances robust fire resistance with visual clarity and aesthetic appeal, meeting both lighting requirements and stringent fire safety standards for medical spaces.
